Make an Impact

During the pandemic, many of us cooked more than ever before. As great chefs know, cooking is therapeutic and loving. At Cheshire, it is one of the therapies our residents use to build resilience and independence.

Today, we are asking you, our Cheshire Home family, to help us give our three kitchens at Cheshire Home, Cheshire II and Cheshire III the upgrades they need to make it easier for each resident to cook. Your support will enable us to purchase adaptive technologies including cooktop stoves, height-adjustable tables, sensor-based faucets, and voice-assistive technology, such as a smart blender.

Resident Anthony has recently been spending more time in Cheshire Home’s Resident Kitchen. With assistance from our staff, Anthony has been whipping up delicious dishes such as steaks, tacos and brownies. Your donation will allow us to upgrade our kitchen, giving residents like Anthony the adaptive tools necessary to cook independently.
