When someone wakes up paralyzed after a devastating spinal cord injury, they have no idea what their life will be like from that moment forward. Cheshire Home has over 40 years of experience and a specialized staff to guide each individual through their journey to a new life ahead. It is our goal to achieve the highest level of independence possible for all our residents. This is why your support is so vital and urgent.

Thanks to our supporters, 252 residents have been able to achieve this goal! However, the path to independence gets more difficult every year. Government reimbursements do not keep pace with the rising costs of providing the tools necessary for our residents to achieve independence. Your donation makes all the difference. That is why we have launched our Cheshire Gives 2023 Campaign.

You can help by supporting any of the following needs that help our residents move toward independence and improve their quality of life while they are here with us. At Cheshire Home, our residents are learning how to cook again, get dressed, care for themselves, strengthen their muscles, and ultimately even drive and work. Our nursing staff, physical and occupational therapy department, dietary team, and other critical care members need your help to provide them with the tools needed to accomplish these goals.

A gift of…

• $1,000 could help us purchase equipment for our residents’ physical therapy goals
• $500 could help us invest in assistive technology for their occupational therapy goals
• $250 could help provide electronic tablets so our nurses can stay current with our residents’ medical needs during daily living activities
• $100 could help replace shower stretchers
• $50 could help purchase new bathing chairs

Your gift could also help us implement dietary upgrades, such as a new oven for the Dietary Department kitchen, to keep pace with our residents’ nutritional needs. It could also allow us to upgrade the Wi-Fi system for faster and more efficient internet and video streaming and complete the upgrades to our HVAC systems. Cheshire Home will apply the money where it is needed most.

100% of your support goes towards our residents’ journey to independence. Thanks to our family, after 40 years of incredible service, we have been able to renovate our resident kitchens, install a new call bell system, replace outdated beds, and more.
