Driving Hope Forward
Help Us Go The Distance
Our residents face a roadblock we cannot overcome without you!
At Cheshire Home, helping adults with spinal cord injuries regain their independence goes far beyond the care we provide inside our walls. Independence means having the freedom to keep a doctor’s appointment, shop for groceries, attend a community event, enjoy an afternoon at a baseball game or a day at the shore with friends and family. These everyday moments are more than just outings, they help break down isolation and build connections that are essential to our residents’ recovery and quality of life.
For over 15 years, our accessible bus has made these experiences possible. Traveling more than 20,000 miles last year alone, we make over 1,000 trips each year to ensure our residents stay connected to the world around them. But after years of dependable service, our bus is now in urgent need of replacement, with repair costs mounting.
To continue providing safe, reliable transportation, we must purchase a new, fully accessible bus. We need your help to make it happen. The total cost is $150,000, and every donation, whether $50 or $5,000 or more, brings us closer to giving our residents the freedom they deserve.
If you have ever appreciated the ability to jump in your car to run errands or meet a friend for coffee, then you understand how vital transportation is to daily life. Our residents have lost that freedom due to a sudden, life-changing injury or illness and with your support, we can give it back. Your gift will help keep our residents moving forward, toward independence, community, and a fuller life.

For our residents, the bus is a lifeline and connects them to the world beyond our doors. We invite you to support our “Drive Hope Forward” campaign using the donation feature above or by mailing a check, made payable to "Cheshire Home" to Cheshire Home, Attn: Development Department, 9 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, NJ 07932.
Thank you for being part of the Cheshire Home family. Your generosity drives hope, and our mission, forward.
